"Carol was amazing with our puppy! I was able to
train our chocolate Labrador to behave and quickly get through
many of the early bad habits of a young puppy.... I would
recommend Carol to anyone with a dog. "

Carol
Gannaway began Canine Potentials in 1990...
Since those days the profession of dog training has evolved from
methods based on conjecture and punishment to the use of scientific
based operant and classical conditioning. To keep up with the changes
in training dogs and their people Carol began attending college
first at Skagit Valley College and then onto the University of Washington
where she graduated March 2010, with her BA in Psychology. UW is
a renowned research university with an excellent animal behavior
program in the Psychology department. It was a thrill learning and
interacting with some of the best in the field of animal behavior.
Carols'
lifelong interest in people and dogs, her new understanding of human
and canine behavior along with her 20 years experience as owner
of Canine Potentials is the fulfillment of her desire to always
keep learning and sharing. Carol has helped thousands of people
and their dog's here on Whidbey Island and will be here for you
in the future as well.

"I have gone to Carol Gannaway for all
my dogs over at least 15 years. She has given us our start in advanced performance
sports, conformation, carting, and encouragement to do anything we wanted to try...
She is patient, kind, understands how people
learn as well as dogs, and she is consistent. If you put in the effort with her
with your dog you will never be sorry. " - Leroy & Diana Fors
